Joggers
Joggers are the one bottom where the line between intentional and sloppy is entirely about context and detail. The right pair in the right setting reads as athleisure streetwear. The wrong pair anywhere else reads as someone who gave up. The difference is almost never the joggers themselves — it's the fit of everything around them and where you're wearing them.

Fabric
Cotton or cotton-fleece for everyday wear — they breathe better than polyester in Indian humidity and soften with washing. Avoid shiny polyester joggers; they photograph badly and feel worse in the heat.
Durability
Cotton joggers hold up well but the elastic waistband is the first thing to go. Look for a reinforced or covered elastic — bare elastic degrades faster with heat and frequent washing.
Look for
- elastic or ribbed cuff at the ankle — without it the hem bunches
- drawstring waistband that actually holds
- cotton-fleece weight of at least 280gsm for shape retention
Avoid
Oversized joggers paired with an oversized top — loose-on-loose loses all silhouette. One piece needs to be fitted or structured. Also avoid light-coloured joggers with white underwear.
Don't wear to
Any setting with a dress code, even a relaxed one. Joggers at a restaurant, a family function, or an office — even on casual Friday — read as underdressed unless the rest of the outfit is working very hard to compensate.
